WHAT IS A SELF-PACED COURSE?
Selected math courses are offered in an alternate-paced format allowing you to finish a course at a flexible pace and provides flexibility in scheduling your class attendance hours.
The Self-Paced Math Lab is open Monday through Saturday for you to schedule your class study hours, attend help sessions, and take tests. Instructors and lab assistants are available in an open lab setting to provide instruction, personalized assistance, and develop individualized study plans. To facilitate learning, various resources are available such as written materials, tutoring, video lectures, computer tutorials, group study, and practice quizzes.
WHERE IS THE SELF-PACED MATH LAB?
Self-paced courses are held in room C&L 104 (close to Student Success Center – Writing Lab).
COVID-19 UPDATE: For Fall 2020, Self-paced courses will be held remotely via Zoom.

WHAT CLASSES ARE OFFERED IN SELF-PACED FORMAT?
Math Jams: Free non-credit courses. Students can sign up for the courses online but must attend an orientation within the first week of classes to stay enrolled (see arannged class hour schedule below).

Traditional Pre-Transfer Courses provides the same traditional material and credit as in the past. Students must attend an orientation prior to enrolling.

- Due to COVID-19, all orientations are held remotely via Zoom.

- Orientations are held on Tuesday through Saturday at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm.
- No appointment is needed! Just pick an orientation time that works with your schedule, then attend.
- Be ontime. No late-comers will be allowed in the session once the orientation began. Allow at least one hour for the orientation and for any questions you might have.

Is this an online course?
No, it is not. You will be attending class and working in a cooperative environment with in-class assistance from tutors and instructors.
Math Jams are non-credit(free) courses that allow you to refresh your math to prepare for a transfer course, or to satisfy the support requirements for the appropriate transfer course.
What if I missed the Math Jam's online registration deadline?
You can still sign-up. Come to class and attend an orientation for additional information.
When is the deadline to register for other Self-paced courses?
Our enrollment is open for at least 60% of the semester. You can start the enrollment process during this time by attending an orientation.
Is there an orientation schedule after September 12?
There is no set schedule after September 12. Walk-in orientations will be offered during class hours listed above. Zoom meeting Id will be provided via email. Please email us at email@example.com.
