Please submit a non-refundable application processing fee of $30.00. We accept cash, check, money order or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). If you write a personal check, it should be made payable to Orange Coast College. All checks should be in US currency and encoded on a U.S. bank. If paying by credit card, please complete the credit card authorization form
. If paying by credit card, please mail the form along with your application or fax it to (714) 432-5191. For security reasons, we cannot accept credit card information by email/scan.
Please submit a typed written statement (1-2 pages) entitled, “Why I want to attend Orange Coast College”. Discuss the reasons for your interest in attending OCC, and include your educational and personal goals.

Bank statement/verification form
Please submit an official bank statement or verification letter written by a bank official. All documents must be in English and show available funds of at least $19,912.00 USD or equivalent. Please also note that the bank statement or letter cannot be older than 5 months from the date your application becomes complete.
The sponsorship form has two sections and must be completed and signed by you and by your financial sponsor (self, parent, relative, or friend). If your sponsor lives outside the U.S. please use OCC's sponsorship form
. If you are sponsored by an embassy or Government, please submit an official letter verifying your sponsorship
Official Academic Records
Please submit official high school transcripts demonstrating satisfactory completion. Proof of graduation is required. Transcripts must be original, and if not already in English, must be translated by an official translation company. If you have attended any colleges or universities, please also submit an original official transcript for all coursework completed.
There are many ways to fulfill our English Requirement. Please submit proof of completion of one of the following options:
A TOEFL test result that is less than 2 years old (Minimum score: 500 on the paper-based test or 61 on the internet- based test). Our TOEFL Institution Code is 4584. Please include this information when you take the test or contact TOEFL
to send us the test result.
Test score report showing level 5 from the iTEP exam
Test score report showing level 5.5 on the IELTS exam
Test score report showing Pre-First Level on the STEP-EIKEN
A satisfactory score on OCC's English Placement test.

Please submit copies of the following:
Your passport biographical information page
The front and back of your most recent I-94 card
All pages of all the I-20's you have from any schools you have attended in the U.S.
Completed transfer evaluation form
(this form is only to verify your status and eligibility for transfer, NOT to request transfer of your SEVIS record. It is required as an application document)
Our office will review your application for admission to OCC as soon as we receive all of the above-mentioned documents. We will notify you of your admission status by email within a few days. We will issue your acceptance letter/email and contact your current school to request transfer of your SEVIS record as soon as you are admitted to OCC. Please be sure to satisfy your current school's requirements before you finalize your transfer to OCC.
After Acceptance as a Transfer Student
After you receive your acceptance email from OCC, it is important that you come into our office as soon as you are accepted to make the necessary appointments.
- Let us know, immediately if you will be travelling abroad before classes begin and if you want to make any changes to your dates of travel contact us first!
- Come into our office and make the necessary appointments to take the math and English placement tests (all OCC students must take these tests), and the appointments for counseling, registration, and orientation.
- Do not miss your Counseling Appointment! These appointments are in high demand and it may be difficult to get another one if you miss it!
If you want to enroll using MyOCC before your registration appointment (recommended), you will need to purchase the required Medical Insurance Policy and email the receipt to us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can remove the hold on your account. Please include your Student ID number for faster processing.
Log into MyOCC and enroll in your classes (use the information provided in your acceptance email). Payment is due at the time of enrollment and students can be dropped from classes if they are delinquent in payment. If you have a special situation which can delay your payment (banking problem etc..) please contact our office for help!
Important Considerations for Transfer and Travel:
If you are planning to travel abroad before classes will begin at OCC it is important that you let us know by completing the travel form so that we can issue you an I-20 to return to the U.S. You must enter the U.S. with the new school's I-20 and a valid Visa. If you would like us to mail your I-20 by express mail, please use the E-Ship Global Service as explained in your Post-Acceptance Checklist.
If your Visa is expired. Please make your embassy appointment early so that you have time to receive the Visa in time to return before classes begin.
If you are not travelling abroad, we will issue you an I-20 when you are enrolled full-time, usually by the second week of classes.
