Students, who have received a substandard grade (D or F) in a course taken at Orange Coast College, may petition to have the D or F grade “excluded” from their grade point average. In order to qualify for an exclusion of a sub-standard grade, the course must be retaken at a regionally accredited college AND must be evaluated for equivalency to the OCC course. The student must submit a Petition to Exclude a Sub-standard grade Interactive 11-30-07.pdf
to the Enrollment Center. The grade will still appear on the student's official transcript, but the substandard grade will be taken out of the grade point average calculation.
