The student independent research Intern, or SIRI, program offers academic - term internships at JPL for students enrolled in an independent study course at participating area community colleges.
Notice to SIRI Students and Sponsors
JPL successfully transitioned 96% of the Spring 2020 interns to remote telework as of mid-March. We will be offeing summer remote internships, and we are now gearing up for the Fall semeseter. It is hoped that we will all be together again on Lab by then, but we have to be prepared for remote internships to continue.
The JPL internship program has been modified for the foreseeable future to offer internships that can be accomplished remotely. As such, students who apply for internships at this time are expected to have and be willing to use the following equipment/resources:
- an appropriate remote work location (residence is permitted)
- a personal laptop/computersmart phone
- reliable internet connection
The deadline for submission of nominations and materials by faculty is June 5, 2020 at close of business day (5pm). Please note that students may not nominate themselves. All materials should be sent to: Jenny Tieu at jenny.tieu@jpl.nasa.gov.
