WHAT IS A SELF-PACED COURSE?

Selected math courses are offered in an alternate-paced format allowing you to finish a course at a flexible pace and provides flexibility in scheduling your class attendance hours.

The Self-Paced Math Lab is open Monday through Thursday (Spring and Fall), and Saturday for you to schedule your class study hours, attend help sessions, and take tests. Instructors and lab assistants are available in an open lab setting to provide instruction, personalized assistance, and develop individualized study plans. To facilitate learning, various resources are available such as written materials, tutoring, video lectures, computer tutorials, group study, and practice quizzes.

For Spring 2024, we will relocate to MBCC 218 and will be open Monday - Friday. 

WHERE IS THE SELF-PACED MATH LAB?

For Fall 2023, Self-paced courses are held in room C&L 104 (close to Student Success Center – Writing Lab).

For Spring 2024, the lab will relocate to MBCC 218.

WHAT CLASSES ARE OFFERED IN THE SELF-PACED FORMAT?


Transfer courses provides the same traditional material and credit as in the past. Students can enrolled online and attend orientation during the first week of class.

SPRING 2024 ORIENTATION INFORMATION

A one-hour orientation is required for students to be informed of Self-paced Math guidelines. Walk-in orientations are offered during lab hours.

Early Start Orientation:

setup for you, you may choose to do an Early Start orientation between Monday 12/4 through Wednesday 12/13. During this orientation, we will explain to you how the class works and give you early access to class materials. After this orientation, if you choose not to take the class, you can drop it and register for another session instead. Early-start orientations are scheduled on-the-hour during this semester's open hours. 

If you missed the early start orientation, more orientations will be provided during the first two weeks of the Spring semester.
