Counseling services at Orange Coast College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals. The intent is to help students choose options that will improve the quality of their lives. Our professionally trained counselors are available to assist you with the following:
Appointments may be made in person, online or by telephone. Thirty minute appointments are scheduled a week in advance. Each Thursday, The Counseling Center begins scheduling appointments for students for the following week.

Resource Counseling is available for quick questions and 1st semester student education plans (SEP) in DegreeWorks. Student who wish to complete a 1st semester SEP need to have taken the Math and English placement tests. Resource Counseling is generally available on Monday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Resource Counseling is limited to ten minutes and is appropriate for general questions only. Resource Counseling is not appropriate for transcript evaluation, COMPREHENSIVE Student Education Plans or personal counseling. Resource Counselors do not have access to your transcript or other student records.
