Banff Film Festival Returns to Orange Coast College on March 14 and 15

Small ad for Banff Film Festival showing 2 people mountain climbing.The Orange Coast College Friends of the Library (FOTL) will host a two-night Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour screening on Tuesday, March 14, and Wednesday, March 15, in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.

Each night will offer a different selection of films. The list of movies for each night can be found on OCC’s Friends of the Library page.

The event begins at 7 p.m. on both nights. It will feature an international selection of films that present a wide range of outdoor adventures and portraits, including climbing, mountain expeditions, remote cultures, and the world’s last great wild places. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is a flagship program of the Banff Centre in Canada. The festival began more than 35 years ago as a one-day event featuring films about mountain climbing and has grown into a nine-day event with more than 840 screenings throughout the year.

The World Tour features an international selection of films that present a vast range of outdoor adventures and portraits, including climbing, mountain expeditions, remote cultures, and the world’s last great wild places!

Advance tickets for this event can be purchased for $15 per night by calling (714) 432-5880 or visit OCC Tickets. Same-day tickets will be $18 per night at the door. Discounted tickets for current OCC students with ID are $8 per night.
