Orange Coast College's Planetarium is re-introducing the Skylark lecture series featuring guests discussing popular astronomy and space science topics.
The Skylark series will debut on Friday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. with a lecture by Christopher Huie, Aerospace Engineer and Senior Manager on Virgin Galactic's Flight Sciences Engineering Team. Huie will discuss his experience with the VSS Unity and VMS Eve- having worked on nearly every component of the spaceship's and mothership's designs. He will also add a recount of his recent flight into space to his lecture and answer questions about his experience as an aerospace engineer and Virgin Galactic Astronaut.
A question-and-answer session will follow Christopher Huie's lecture. The Skylark series is free to attend. However, seats in the Dome Theater are limited, so tickets are required. A reception with light hors d'oeuvre will begin at 6 p.m., with the lecture starting at 7 p.m.
