Community and campus members are invited to do their holiday shopping at OCC’s 26th Annual Mudslingers Holiday Ceramic Sale on Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both days and will be in the College's Art Center, Room 113. Convenient parking for the event is available in Lot D on Merrimac Way.
Shoppers can explore an impressive selection of unique ceramic creations, including functional, sculptural and decorative pieces, all crafted by intermediate and advanced OCC ceramics students. All proceeds from the sale will benefit students and the Mudslingers Ceramic Club.
“The artworks here are one-of-a-kind sparks of creativity that are now in search of a home,” says ceramics instructor Robert Moore. “We invite you to see the fruit of our student's tireless labor. Please join us in our celebration of art, education, hard work, and creativity.”
The OCC Mudslingers Holiday Ceramic Sale has been an exclusive and well-run event since 1999 when Mudslingers became the official name for the ceramics club on campus. However, students have been selling their ceramic works at OCC for over 40 years.
