Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the Spring 2024 semester! As you will notice when you arrive on campus, we have updated our spirit flag banners and signage after concluding a successful celebration of OCC’s 75th Diamond Anniversary – a year-long of sharing stories of success and academic excellence that has defined our institution for many decades.
Next week, we will once again experience the buzz of excitement as we welcome students back to campus. You may also notice that we have more students with an increase in enrollment of approximately 3 percent compared to last Spring semester. I appreciate individuals and departments that will be staffing the welcome tables to assist students navigating the campus next week. I look forward to joining you as we continue our intentional work in cultivating students’ sense of engagement and connection with the campus.
This semester brings many new opportunities to inspire students. You will be hearing more about the Culturally Responsive Curriculum & Pedagogy Grant being led by an incredible group of faculty and administrative leaders; the Caring Campus Team, being led by our classified professionals, and much more.
