After nearly 40 years of extraordinary service to Orange Coast College, Doug Bennett, Executive Director of the OCC Foundation, will retire at the end of December. Please join us as we honor Doug, fondly known as “Mr. OCC,” at a special retirement celebration on Friday, December 13.
From my very first days at OCC, Doug captivated me with his passion for the College and his gift for storytelling—like the unforgettable tale of when OCC owned its very own island. Many of you had an opportunity to listen to some of these stories during Spring Flex Day.
For four decades, he has been the heart and soul of the OCC Foundation, masterfully weaving together relationships and building a legacy of support that has transformed countless lives. His stories, rich with history and heart, reflect the incredible impact of the Foundation’s donors and the enduring connections he has cultivated.
Following a culture of giving, this year marks the twelfth anniversary of the OCC Foundation’s participation in Giving Tuesday. We are excited to announce that the Foundation raised over $210,000 and 350 gifts during the 2024 campaign. Your generosity and ongoing support continue to make a meaningful difference for our programs and students, and we are deeply grateful.
