“American Rhapsody” brings homespun classics to OCC

Join us on Saturday, October 8th, for “American Rhapsody,” a concert featuring the OCC Symphony, the OCC Chorale, and the OCC Chamber Singers, under the direction of Ricardo Soto and Eliza Rubenstein! The concert takes place in the Robert B. Moore Theatre at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available now at the OCC Bursar’s Office, by calling (714) 432-5880, and online at OCC Tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Soprano Marlissa Hudson returns from the East Coast once more as the featured soloist in selections from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and Leonard Bernstein’s Candide. Pianist Janelle Tag will perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the OCC Symphony. The OCC choral ensembles will join the orchestra for works by Charles Ives and Aaron Copland. You’ll recognize some familiar tunes and discover some new favorites!
