2026 Accreditation Reaffirmation

Front Page of the 2025 ISER for OCCOrange Coast College is currently undergoing a comprehensive review from Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) to reaffirm it's accreditation status.The review will be based on the College's Institutional Self Evaluation Report (ISER) assessing how well it meets ACCJC's standards, as well as numerous team interviews and evaluation of evidence.

The College will be evaluated against ACCJC's:

  • Eligibility Requirements
  • Accreditation Standards
  • Commission policies

The final evaluation of the College, including ACCJC's recommendations for accreditation, will be received in a formal written document in July 2026. The letter and Evaluation Report will be published online at that time.

August 1, 2025

ISER

OCC submits their Institutional Self Evaluation Report (ISER) to ACCJC for evaluation.

October 9, 2025

Open Forum

ACCJC open forum with faculty, classified professionals, students, administrators who are not serving in executive roles, and community members as a space to provide the peer review team with feedback regarding OCC’s efforts to meet the Accreditation Standards.

Week of February 23, 2026

Site Visit

The Peer Review Team will have a one-day, in person site visit where they will come to OCC to validate conditions described in the ISER, verify that practices align with the Commission’s Standards, and finalize findings and observations for the team Report.

July 2026

Evaluation Report

ACCJC will notify OCC of its decision, in writing, through a formal action letter. This letter will also detail any areas of non-compliance with Standards and, if applicable, any next steps.
