While waiting for your appointment with the veteran counselor, we encourage students to review the information below. Many times, there are other offices that may be able to assist you with your needs.
Please contact Veterans Services for all benefits related questions. The veteran counselor does not certify classes.
Please review your DegreeWorks via MyCoast (including the notes at the bottom from your last appointment) and the class schedule. If you need additional help identifying required classes, please contact our office. You are not required to meet with a counselor to register via MyCoast. We encourage you to on your registration date, and fine tune (as needed) later with the counselor. Please note all drop/refund deadlines on your Web Schedule Bill. If you would like to be certified, submit an Online Certification Request via our website, once registered, so we can review your courses.
Please contact Veterans Services or the Enrollment Center for registration troubleshooting (i.e. error messages, login issues, etc.). If you need assistance with the process of registering on MyCoast, please refer to the steps here or visit the VRC for hands-on assistance. You are not required to meet with a counselor to register via MyCoast.
These require meeting with the Veteran Counselor, if using benefits, to finalize; in the meantime, if you are looking to change majors, you can contact Veterans Services if for a preliminary review of classes to make sure they will align with the intended new major. If not using benefits, General Counseling can assist.
These will require meeting with the Veteran Counselor. In the meantime, we suggest providing your VRE case manager with your DegreeWorks page (if your program is correctly listed on there), as this is part of what the counselor will be asking you to provide. Fee information is available via the website and our Tungsten Information (for Authorizations) is located here. If you need assistance communicating this to your VRE case manager, feel free to let Veterans Services know.
These will require meeting with the Veteran Counselor. If your verification is not requiring an anticipated graduation date, you can order a verification.
Please contact General Counseling. Any counselor can help with appeals and petitions. Overload petitions may be submitted online.
Please contact the VRC for a referral for extended tutoring, if you are a veteran. You can access tutoring at the Student Success Center.
