Please review your DegreeWorks via MyCoast (including the notes at the bottom from your last appointment) and the class schedule. If you need additional help identifying required classes, please contact our office. You are not required to meet with a counselor to register via MyCoast. We encourage you to on your registration date, and fine tune (as needed) later with the counselor. Please note all drop/refund deadlines on your Web Schedule Bill. If you would like to be certified, submit an Online Certification Request via our website, once registered, so we can review your courses.
Students who have already established a VA Major with the OCC Veteran Counselor may seek assistance from General Counseling, as needed, for class selection purposes. Please make sure you are only registering for required classes under your approved VA plan (as indicated in the notes section of DegreeWorks from the Veteran Counselor). If you have credit from prior institutions, please keep in mind that prior credit will impact which classes you are permitted to take, in cases where course or area requirements have already been met or are pending evaluation. Please note that while General Counselors can help with identifying required courses, they may not have knowledge of benefit-specific nuances (i.e. understanding how courses impact BAH rates, etc.) Please reach out to Veterans Services if you have benefits related questions.
