How to Schedule an Allied Health Counseling Appointment
Allied Health Counseling appointments are reserved specifically for current OCC students who have completed ALH A010: Health Occupations or ALH A012: Health Occupations for Medical and Dental Assisting and need program-ready dates.
If you are a prospective student or have not completed ALH A010 or ALH A012, please make an appointment to see a General Counselor in Watson Hall. General Counselors can assist you with understanding Allied Health program requirements, reviewing the application process, and explaining the waitlist process.
All Allied Health Counseling appointments are only available during the Fall and Spring semesters and are offered in-person or via ConferZoom.
- Appointments are released: Every Thursday at 8:30 AM
- Scheduling window: The online scheduler displays appointments for one week at a time.
- If no appointments appear, all appointments for the upcoming week have been filled. Please check back the following Thursday at 8:30 AM, when the next week's appointments are released.

Program-Ready Dates
If you need a program-ready date for an Allied Health program, you must schedule an appointment with Ms. Truong or Mr. Choe through the Allied Health Counseling scheduler. Program-ready dates are only provided during Allied Health Counseling appointments and cannot be issued through General Counseling.
When scheduling your appointment, select "Current OCC Student who has completed ALH A010."

Preparing for your Allied Health Counseling Appointment
The counseling services available specifically for Allied Health students are unique and have been developed to help students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals. The intent is to help students navigate the application completion process, including updating records of program prerequisite completion, or moving to the "program-ready" list.
When scheduling your appointment, please select the reason that best describes your needs so we can prepare to assist you.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Fall Allied Health Counseling Appointments
*If you need a counseling appointment for the Fall semester, please log in to the Allied Health Counseling website on Thursday, August 23, at 8:30 AM to schedule an appointment for the following week. If no appointments are available, it means all appointments for that week have been filled.
Please be aware that many students request program-ready dates each semester, resulting in high demand for counseling appointments. New appointments are released every Thursday at 8:30 AM, so if you are unable to secure an appointment, please check back the following Thursday when the next week's appointments become available.*
