Geology courses at Orange Coast College cover a variety of topics within this exciting field. In February 2004, Dr. Erik Bender taught the largest class in the college's history when he instructed 475 students for his General Geology lecture course. While the General Geology course is very popular, other courses, both lectures and labs, discuss areas of interest including natural disasters and petrology. Students may even enroll in a class specializing on the geology of Orange County, enabling them to connect what they learn to their everyday lives, providing additional relevance to the field of Geology. For more information regarding the Geology program outcomes and courses, please see the college catalog.
