 *The MESA Canvas Shell is made available to students once they have completed the following steps:

  1. Submit a MESA Interest form 
  2. Meet with a MESA counselor and complete the MESA application
  3. Meet with the MESA director and complete the student participation agreement

Chemistry student

The MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) program at Orange Coast College is an Academic Resources Program for first generation, financial aid eligible students that provides support to excel in math, computer science, engineering, and science so they can transfer to four-year institutions as majors in these fields.  The MESA Center offers a wealth of resources to MESA students, including: 


  • MESA Center study space with computer and study aid access
  • STEM industry field trips and guest speakers
  • University campus tours
  • Internship opportunities
  • Tutoring services and Guided Review study sessions
  • Equipment loans (i.e., calculators, etc).
  • Skills and counseling workshops
  • Community building opportunities
