2023 Mass Appeal Student Exhibition
Two Weeks of Talent from Across Campus
To celebrate OCC 75th Anniversary, The Doyle is pleased to announce that it will be returning to a non-juried format after several years of juried exhibitions and online presentations during the pandemic. We look forward to celebrating OCC’s artistic talent!
Drop-Off Dates: April 10-11, Mon.-Tues., Noon-5 p.m.
Exhibition Dates: April 24-May 4 (public gallery hours: Mon.-Thur., 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.)
Reception: April 27, 5:00- 7:00 p.m., Thursday, food and drink sponsored by OCC EOPS
Pick-up Dates: May 8-10, Mon.-Wed., Noon-5 p.m.
SUBMISSION, SELECTION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Open to all OCC students. One work per student. You may have someone else deliver work for you.
- All framed work and paintings must be “ready to hang” with wires, screw eyes, or D-rings, attached ahead of delivery dates (some paintings may be able to hang from stretcher bars). Works on paper must be matted with a rigid support board behind the mat. Indicate TOP of each work on the back of the work. For works with several parts, please provide a diagrams or instructions for how they should be arranged.
- Work with wet paint, in extremely fragile condition, improperly prepared, or containing organic material, or live animals, will not be accepted. Ceiling pieces will not be considered for display.
- Works meant to be viewed on a computer or monitor, such as video documentation of performances, digital videos, animations, and websites. Student will need to provide the audio-visual equipment. If the equipment is small, such as a laptop or tablet, then the means for securing it will need to be provided too.
- Limited pedestal availability. For installations and large sculpture, it is suggested that you consult with The Doyle director, Tyler Stallings, prior to submission, tstallings@occ.cccd.edu. For such work, students may be asked to assist with installing and de-installing their own work.
- Artwork is NOT insured. ALL work MUST be collected from the gallery during designated pick-up times. Items left after this period become the property of the gallery and may be discarded.
