About ARC (Formerly DSPS)
Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Orange Coast College (OCC) Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) will take all necessary steps to ensure that no OCC student with a verified disability is denied the benefits of, excluded from participation in, or otherwise subjected to discrimination in an education program because of the absence of auxiliary aids or academic accommodations. Participation in the OCC ARC is completely voluntary. We encourage students with documented disabilities to participate to enable equal access to instructional and support programs on campus.
Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) cultivates an accessible and inclusive community where students with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of campus life. Qualified ARC professionals demonstrate sensitivity to student needs, promote student success through equal access, and facilitate student learning through partnerships with students, faculty, and staff.
A universally accessible campus where programs, services and environments are usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for accommodations or adjustments.
