Description
Students graduating with an Associate in Arts in Kinesiology for Transfer Degree are well positioned to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology within the CSU system with 60 units of upper-division coursework. Students who complete the Kinesiology AA-T degree are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average
(GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU-transferable coursework. While a minimum 2.0 is required for CSU admission, some majors may require a higher GPA. Please consult a counselor for more information.

- The faculty and staff of the Kinesiology Department bring a broad level of experience to the classroom, including athletic training for professional sports teams, international coaching, former professional athletes, exercise physiology experts, NCAA Division 1 Champions and other allied healthcare professions.
- Kinesiology has become one of the most popular majors at large state universities across the country, surpassing popular majors like Biology and Psychology. The curriculum for this major has developed over the years to offer courses that extend beyond physical education.

- More than half of kinesiology students are pursuing other quickly growing allied healthcare or medical professions like Certified Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Physicians Assistant, and Physicians Extender.
