Orange Coast College received $9,120,468 in federal emergency grant funding as part of the CARES Stabilization Funding Package which allows us to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
The Department of Education requires each institution to sign the funding Certification and Agreement and submit a report regularly on how the fund is distributed. As part of the reporting requirements, Orange Coast College is required to disclose the following information on its website:

Orange Coast College has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement with the intention of using no less than 50% of the funds received to provide direct assistance to students who have expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19.

Orange Coast College has received $4,560,234 from the Department of Education to be distributed directly to students.

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students thus far is: $4,560,234.

Orange Coast College provides the following instructions to eligible students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants:
Financial Aid Students – eligible students (meet all criteria listed above) should have already received an email from the Financial Aid Office with a link to complete an application for the Emergency Financial Aid Grant.
Non-Financial Aid Students - The Financial Aid Office has sent an email to eligible students to encourage those students to apply for the 2019-20 FAFSA. Once the Financial Aid Office receives the FAFSA, eligible students (meet all criteria listed above) will receive an email with a link to complete an application for the Emergency Financial Aid Grant.
