Transportation assistance in the form of gas cards or parking passes are available for to OCC students experiencing financial challenges. Please complete the Basic Needs Request, and a Basic Needs team member will reach out to you to begin the consultation process. Please note, this should be not be used as a cost-savings strategy, and cannot replace Financial Aid resources.
Orange Coast College Students Ride the OC Bus FREE!
With unlimited rides on all OC Bus local fixed routes, it's easy to hop aboard for school, work, shopping. All full‐time, part‐time, and non‐credit enrolled students are eligible.
Get Started Today:
- Download the Wave by OCTA app.
- Create an account - be sure to use your OCC email to create your account
- Link OCC to your account starting on January 31 - select "Card Options" then find Orange Coast College from the list, and select "Link Institution"
- Don’t have a smartphone? Visit the Bursar's Office to get a Wave Card. Enrolled students can receive a Wave Card for free. Need help activating the card? Visit one of these departments:

- Future Pirate Center - Student Union 101
