A Closer Look at Cal-GETC
Starting Fall 2025, Cal-GETC (California General Education Transfer Curriculum) replaces both IGETC and CSU GE Breadth for students transferring to a UC or CSU campus. By implementing one unified lower-division GE pathway, Cal-GETC aims to reduce confusion and ensure a more efficient, consistent transfer experience for California community college students, including those at Orange Coast College, to the CSU and UC systems.
