A Closer Look at Common Course Numbering
Starting Fall 2025, Orange Coast College will implement the new Common Course Numbering (CCN) system. This change is part of a statewide effort to simplify and standardize course numbers across all California community colleges.
Under CCN, equivalent courses at different colleges will share the same course number and prefix, making it easier for students to plan their education, transfer, and meet degree requirements.
