Faculty- Directed Shows 2023-2024 with OPEN AUDITIONS:
Anyone is welcome to audition for one of these three faculty-directed OCC plays.
If you pass the audition you will be given an add code by the director/professor and will be required to enroll in the corresponding 3-unit class at OCC.
Please do not enroll before you audition.
FALL 2023
ILLIUM- Shakespeare's drama Troilus and Cressida reimagined and reinterpreted by Pete Uribe.

Auditions will be held in the OCC Drama Lab Theatre
OPEN AUDITIONS Wednesday August 30 6:00pm - 10:30pm.
CALLBACKS Thursday August 31 7:30-10:30pm
FINAL CALLBACKS Friday September 1 6-11pm. Be prepared to move!

Rehearsals will begin Sept. 6 and will be Mon/Wed/Th/Fri 7-11pm, Tuesdays are TBA.
Performances will be Nov. 3-5 and Nov. 10-12
If you are given a role in the play you will be required to enroll in a 3-unit OCC class.
Spring 2024
BORN YESTERDAY
A political romantic comedy set in Washington DC in the late 1940s, written by Garson Kanin and directed by Bethany Kraemer.
Auditions will be January 31 and Feb 1, 2024. More details will be provided closer to the audition date here, in social media and on the OCC Spring class schedule online.
If you pass the audition you will be required to enroll in a 3-unit OCC class. Do not enroll before passing the auditions.
Rehearsals will be M/W/Th/Fri 7-11pm starting Feb 5.
Performances are March 15-17 and 22-24.

Open auditions Feb 28- Feb 29 7pm - 10pm in the OCC Drama Lab Studio 102
Directed by Tom Bruno, Musical Direction by Jared Scott III, Choreography by Bitty Hammond.
Acting /Singing auditions: February 28 2024. Prepare a contemporary, memorized monologue, limit 1 minute in length. Prepare 32 bars of as Musical Theatre song. Bring your sheet music, an accompanist will be provided.
Dance auditions: February 29 2024. Please dress in comfortable clothing and prepare to sweat. You will learn a short sequence with elements of modern, jazz and hip hop. Sneakers, tennis shoes preferred.
Callbacks on March 1 will be by invitation and will consist of readings from the script, singing and dancing.
If you pass the auditions you will be required to enroll in a 3-unit OCC class. Do not enroll before passing the auditions.
Rehearsals will be M/W/Th/F 7-11pm. Performances are May 3-5. May 10-12

OCC REPERTORY (student-directed) productions:
To be part of any REP production you must first be enrolled in the class OCC Theatre Repertory (THEA A131, A132, A133 or A134), or enrolled in Directing (THEA A275 or A285).
