OCC Theatre Audition Information

Faculty- Directed mainstage shows

Faculty- Directed Shows 2025-2026 with OPEN AUDITIONS:

Anyone is welcome to audition for faculty-directed OCC plays.

If you pass the audition you will be given an add code by the director/professor and will be required to enroll in the corresponding 3-unit class at OCC.

Please do not enroll before you audition.

Twelfth Night, the Musical    

William Shakespeare, Shaina Taub and Kwame Kwei-Arma 

Shakespeare’s comic masterpiece of mistaken identity and romance comes alive in a brilliant new adaptation featuring a scintillating original jazz-funk score by Shaina Taub and Kwame Kwei-Arma.

OPEN AUDITIONS:

Principal roles audition November 17 and 18 7:00pm to 10:30pm

Ensemble roles audition in February

ENROLLMENT IS BY AUDITION ONLY. Please do not enroll before auditioning.

Introductory singing rehearsals for principals are Mon & Tue Nov. 24 & 25 7:00-10:30pm

Full rehearsals (principals and ensemble cast) Mondays - Fridays 7pm - 10:30pm starting Friday Feb. 6, 2026.

Performances March 20, 21, 22, 27 & 28 at 7:30pm. March 29 at 2:30pm.

Open auditions for ensemble roles are February 3 and 4, 7:00pm -10:30pm in the OCC Drama Lab Theatre.

Callbacks Feb. 5, 2026.  7:00pm- 10:30pm

If you auditioned in November and were not assigned a principal role you may be called directly to Callbacks for ensemble roles.

All actors will be required to enroll in "Musical Theatre Rehearsal and Performance", a 3-unit OCC class.

OCC welcomes you back for more Shakespeare comedy this spring as we travel into the enchanted woods with this beloved tale of the power of love, of mischief and of magic!

                  

Open Auditions: February 3 & 4, 2026, 7:00pm - 10:30pm in the OCC Drama Lab Theatre

Callbacks: February 5 7:00pm - 10:30pm

If you are given a role in the play you will be required to enroll in "Comedy Rehearsal and Performance", a 3-unit OCC class.

Please do not enroll before auditioning

Rehearsals will be Monday - Friday 7-10:30pm, starting Monday April 6.

Performances are May 8, 9, 10, 15 & 16 at 7:30pm and May 17 at 2:30pm.

More specific information will be posted on social media closer to auditions.

 

OCC REPERTORY (The Rep) student-directed productions:

To be part of any REP production you must first be enrolled in the 3-unit class OCC Theatre Repertory (THEA A131, A132, A133 or A134), or enrolled in Directing (THEA A275 or A285).   

OCC Rep meets Mondays 5:00pm to 6:50pm plus many arranged hours. Acting rehearsals are typically Tue- Thur 5:00- 6:50. 

Rep will produce multiple student- directed shows in Spring 2026- enroll to be a Rep Member!
