• Is the total cost of attendance a fixed rate?
  No, the cost mentioned above represents the minimum available funds you need to demonstrate in order to receive a Form I-20 for applying for an F-1 student visa. This amount demonstrates your ability to fund your first year of study at Orange Coast College.
• Does OCC offer scholarships or financial aid to international students?
  OCC does not offer scholarships and financial aid for new incoming international students. 
• How much will I pay in tuition and fees?

  The amount you pay depends on the number of course units you are registered for per semester. International students pay the non-resident tuition rate.

  For students with an F-1 visa attending Orange Coast College, full-time enrollment is required. This means a minimum of 12 units per Fall and Spring semester. If you are starting in the Summer semester, you must enroll in 6 units.
• What is a credit unit?
  A credit unit represents the number of hours you spend in the classroom. At OCC, one class can range from 1 to 6 units, with the majority of classes falling between 3 to 4 units.
• When do I pay for tuition and fees?
  Tuition and fees are billed after you register for classes. Payment deadlines are determined by the OCC Enrollment Center. 
• What are acceptable forms of payment for tuition and fee?
  The most common payment methods for tuition and fees are credit or debit card through the MyOCC portal and wiring funds via PayMyTuition. For those preferring cash or check, payments are accepted at the OCC Bursar's Office.
• Do you offer a tuition payment plan?
  Yes, OCC offers a 3-installment tuition plan for the Fall and Winter/Spring and a 2-installment plan for the Summer. 
• How do I pay for room and board?
  The housing cost will depend on the housing arrangement you choose, and it is usually paid directly to the housing provider. Whether you decide to live in on-campus or off-campus housing, the payment will be made to the respective provider. 
• I have relatives nearby OCC who are allowing me to live with them for free, do I have to pay for the Room and Board fee?
  No, you do not need to pay the room and board fee. When presenting your financial documents, you may deduct the cost of room and board with an attached letter of support signed by your housing sponsor.
• Do I have to pay for medical insurance?
  Yes, medical insurance is mandatory for all students. You must purchase a plan from our designated provider, unless you are attending OCC on a government scholarship that includes health insurance coverage provided by the scholarship. In that case, you do not need to purchase the insurance plan from our designated provider.
• Will the cost of attendance change during my enrollment of Orange Coast College?
  Yes, the cost of tuition and fees is subject to change without prior notice.
