A paludarium is a special type of vivarium that includes both a terrestrial, and an aquatic biomes, areas where land meets water. Habitats emulated in a paludarium system are generally very wet, typically swamp/wetland areas, and usually heavy in plant cover. To simulate its natural environment, we keep our paludarium humid through heavy misting, and use full spectrum lights that include higher wavelength red lights to encourage plant growth.
